Can a food intolerance cause bloating?
The things that contributes to bloating are things like not chewing your food properly eating quickly and not drinking enough water but also if your food isn’t digested properly you can get a buildup of gas and severe bloating and this is often caused by a food intolerance or reaction to the foods that you’re eating.
A constant bloating suggests that the food that you’re eating is somehow fermenting in your gut producing gas and you need to be really thinking about the foods that you eat.
Foods are high in FODMAPs, there’s certain type of carbohydrates, can contribute to constant bloating and these are a type of food intolerance too.
If you react to those, bloating can be a sign of a more severe health problem and for that reason it’s really important if you bloated and you’re worried about your symptoms so you always go and see your GP before you consider whatever else might be going on for you.
